Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September 21 1983) is an American actress, best recognized for her performances in the roles of Shannon Rutherford on the ABC television show Lost and Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. After her parents divorced, she relocated with her mother into Los Angeles. The actress landed her first part, as Rachel's Room's title character, in 2001, despite having a difficult time in the financial department. In the following year, she was awarded an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 for her performance as 15-year-old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television movie Murder which aired in Greenwich. Grace Rutherford's character in Lost between 2004 and 2005, was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award. After leaving the show, Grace would like to be on film more frequently, having starred opposite Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005. She was on the screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in both 2007 and Taken (2008) alongside Liam Neeson. Her role was reprised in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern version from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played Shannon on the final episode and two other episodes. She was in 2013 for the sixth episode of Californication. She is Faith as a girl who is a muse for the stars and catches the attention to Hank Moody (David Duchovny). She's the child of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), and is younger than Jake Gyllenhaal. Her first roles were in the films of her father in his adolescent years. Together with her brother she appeared in Donnie Darko (2000). Then she appeared on the screen in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Gyllenhaal received critical acclaim for her performances as the lead in the erotic romance comedy drama Secretary (2002) as well as the thriller Sherrybaby (2006) both of which resulted in a Golden Globe Award nomination. In 2006, she appeared in numerous films that were commercially successful, including World Trade Center. However the role she played in the role of Rachel Dawes that brought her greater attention for her performance in The Dark Knight (2008). She was recognized as the Best Supporting Actress at the Oscar Awards for her performance of a single mother in Crazy Heart.
